I got this installed in my Kubota LX3310 cab tractor and wired up. I cut about 7 inches off the loader handle and welded a couple inches back on from a 1/2-20 bolt. If I were doing it over I would have not rethreaded the handle and just cut the little shaft extension that came in it and welded that on. It feels super comfy to me.

I found a roll of 5 conductor 18ga wires in a sheath that measured a little over 1/4" that fit tight in the wire hole in the bottom of the handle and also fit tight in the DIN connectors on the valve to make a good seal there.

Outside links can be unreliable long term but here they are at the time of posting.

I am making a longer video on the whole 3rd function install but it's not finished and all the flat face couplers I used are leaking. After I have it all sorted out I will post that.

I have looked at those eBay handles in the past. That fits perfectly on the vertical handle on the LX valve - still looking for one suitable for the horizontal handles on the non-cab machines.

The handle comes with a little stub that is threaded on both ends and has about a 30 degree bend in it. It could be rotated with the bend in any direction.

I followed your link and bought one of those handles. But in soldering wires to it I must have over heated one because it wouldn't function reliably after that.
I noticed that the switch was only rated for 0.5 amp and I think the spec on the 3rd function valve is 1.7 draw. So I think it was doomed anyways.
So with some searching I found these rated at supposedly 5 amp.
So I thought you might want to know so I shared it here.

Edit, That link posted weird with it saying just "Pardon our interruption" but it worked when I tried it

Your link worked for me. So these switches fit the handle I used? That will be good to know if mine don't hold up. It still comes out cheap for a two switch handle.

I thought the switches in the handle were rated at 5 amps. I didn't attempt to solder on the connectors. I cut the wires and attached my wires to them with some heat shrink connectors with a low temp solder core. Those shrink wrap and solder at the same time with the heat gun. I haven't used it a lot but so far the switches are operating my solenoids just fine.

I took a couple shots of the new and old switches,
the one with the red plunger is the new one.

edit, the white on the switches is just chalk as i struggle to get the numbers to show up clearly.

I bought a couple more of the handles and figured I would change out the switches on them to have as backups even for the handle on my summit valve on my kubota.. I want to source some wire better than what I tried the first time as that was a bit heavy and contributed to me overheating.
Yes I placed them on the switch holder part checking for fit but I haven't gotten to the point of testing. I think at the very least I will mount them in one of the new handles and check for function of the handle button with ohm meter to confirm that they work with that rubber part.

Did you purchase 20 of the switches?

Yes it seemed like a back up plan if I mess up any in the future.
I have a lot of arthritis issues in my hands and it is a struggle to get things like soldering fine parts sometimes.
I just checked the new ones for fit and function holding the switch holder in place and connected to my fluke meter they worked good. Then with the cover on I could here the click of them changing state.
Not a on the machine test because I need to solder wires in.
One thing about the handle is I think the screws might have been a little oversize as in both I have had apart the place where they thread in is cracked. Not suitable for construction machine but for my use they should work fine.

I see the 0.5 amp rating on your photo. I either overlooked that on mine or mine had heavier switches in it to begin with.

This is the wire I used. It has 5 tinned copper 18 ga wires and the sheath is just a tad over 1/4". It fit snug in the holes of the handle and also in the DIN connectors on my valve so it should seal nicely there.

I also bought a spare handle just in case.

I used these heat shrink self solder connectors and just clipped the wires and joined my wires to them.

Thanks for your links!
I haven't used those kind of connectors before so I ordered a kit of them and the wire which took me to free shipping.
My wife does prime but for things like this no sense in both of us having to pay for it.
I just love tinkering on things and like to be able to just have something on hand without stopping for a trip to the hardware store. I had a wire break on a wheel speed sensor on my truck. One of those would have been great that day. I replaced the sensor and later the hub but it would have been a good fix until I could do the replacement at my pace.

Thanks again for the thread on this handle.

Be careful not to point your heat gun at the handle if you use those connectors. It would probably melt pretty easy.

FYI your wife can add you to her Prime. My wife is added to mine. The accounts remain separate and we don't see each other's purchases but we both get the Prime benefits being in the same family at the same address. It's pretty darn handy to be able to get free shipping on small purchases.

I didn't know that about prime, I just know they always pitch it every time that I order.
I will have to look into that,

Thanks again,
