For those in the US (or other countries), at ~$35, this is a very handy diagnostic tool if you are chasing any electrical issues.
While I don't have one myself (as I have many other meters and clamps), I have purchased a couple of these for a friend, and an uncle, and am now getting another for my brother.
For me, operation of the selection of the functions and scales isn't ideal, (you'll get used to the sequence of selection of functions) but to have a 100A DC clamp meter and volt meter "all in one" in a nice small package is very handy.
So you can use this to clamp on a wire and check current flow to your glow plugs, or from the alternator/dynamo, as well as use the probes to check voltage at battery/key switch etc, also resistance of contacts in switches etc.
Yes it is also suitable for mains AC voltage.
One thing to note, you need to push the leads into the meter fully (they are quite tight and go in a long way to make proper contact) before using for voltage/resistance etc., also ensure you remove the leads before using the clamp.
The lead tips come with fully shrouded probes, which can be removed for insertion into connectors etc.
So AC/DC Volts & Current, Diode test, resistance and capacitance
And for a few dollars more the 210D model has higher current, temp and frequency if you wish.
Available from many places at varying prices, here is one.

And yes I've put this in Service/Repair/Maintenance forum so that it is read by the masses who have electrical problems, as usually they don't go to classifieds for electrical help.
I have no affiliation with Uni-Trend, I have just purchased their product and found it suitable to my/others needs.
