Hello, New to Kubota. Have a new BX2380 with the TracMaster 26 x 12-12.00 R4 OTR filled with beet juice . One vendor says his chains will fit, but said some Kubotas can be real tight space-wise on the backend, and that I should check before ordering. Does anyone have a rec for chains that'll fit that tire ? (The rep sells direct and through Amazon). Thanks in advance for your consideration.

Short answer. People do use chains on the BX2380.

The long answer .

Mounted the heavy duty 2-link ladder chains. 2 inch wheel spacers provided adequate lateral inward space. Would have been marginal without the spacers, but possible. On another thread posted an image of the minimal space between a metal shield plate that protects control hardware on the driver's right side. To tight for my comfort to go with the studded chains. Plus guessing those spikes would chew up the garage concrete floor like studs would.

R4s on the BX2380. Chain tensioners used. Purchased chains at tensioners at tirechain.com. Springs on the tensioners are available at the local Ace if needing replacement. Followed advice from people here at OTT. Reduced tire pressure, mounted the chains and tensioners, inflated to working psi, and did some FEL work for awhile to "stretch" the chains. Had to tighten one side. Tensioners kept the chains tight, but not ideally tight.

Without wheel spacers and probably will do anyways. Double up on the zip ties to keep the excess inner links tight. Or just cut them off.

Was considering square v. twist , but they look to sit a bit higher reducing clearance even more. Other chains considered were the diamond link. Probably should have gone that route. Less fiddling getting the spacing of the 2 links even before tensioning. And supposedly a bit of lateral traction on any side pitch.

The customer service rep at tirechain.com noted the plain twist link design would provide the most clearance.

I think they just need to "kind of" fit. Buy tighteners or use bungies.

Many, many thanks my friend. By any chance, do you have the product number from tirechains? Or, am I better off just callin' 'em and work it that way. Again, muchas gracias mi amigo,

Used their chain selector feature. IIRC, home page>garden tractor, scroll down to popular tire chart and click your wheel size>option of chains that fit.

Just posted on another thread. Regarding 2 v. 4 link ladder style. Thinking 4 link would be a poor choice. Guessing less traction, more chain slippage, and bumpier ride on hard surfaces.
