Hi,

My used bx2360 had the plastic mower discharge cover removed when I bought it. I don’t want to replace it with the Oem plastic cover. I’m sure it wouldn’t last long. Need to slow down rocks launched from the mower. Does anyone make a chain cover for the Bx mowers? Can’t find anything doing internet search.

Thanks

Welcome aboard!

I don't remember seeing chains used on anything except big 3-point mowers. First thought is to stop mowing rocks. Next would be add a mulching kit. Last resort is tell the kids to stay in the house till you're done mowing and mow in a pattern that shoots ejecta away from glass:)

Personally I would avoid dangling chains as all the mowers I've ever used have the blades close to the chute exit. Some mowers have a bolt on flap as a chute substitute.

The factory discharge chute will deflect rocks way better then you think if that's your mowing habit!
Chains are for large flying objects like ditch mowers run over.

Mulching kit is your best bet, cuts out the flying projectiles.

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately rocks are a way of life where I live. I have only seen the chains on the 3 point mowers also so it seemed to make sense. After your responses, a flap or mulching kit might be the best option.
