hello all, new here i recently picked up this scrap yard v1505 in good condition, meter only shows 1100 hrs. and everything seems right except i cant seem to get fuel up to my injectors. ive got fuel to the injector pump and ive cracked the nuts loose on the lines and not a drop! ive cranked and cranked to no avail. now i did discover that the fuel shut off solenoid is bad and i cranked it for a while with it in the off position unknowingly. ive since removed that solenoid which should leave the fuel in the ON position but still cant get a drop of fuel to the top of the motor. kind of at a loss from here. is the injector pump bad?? am i doing something wrong?? any help is appreciated. im pretty mechanically inclined but i dont want to hurt anything cranking and cranking as this is my first kubota engine! Thanks in advance!

I am not familiar with v1505.

A couple years ago, my Kubota was starting hard and stalling. It turned out the electric 'lift pump' just under the fuel tank was failing.

It was easy enough to isolate this as the problem by removing fuel-filter just infront of the high-pressure injection pump and see if fuel was being pumped up to it. (put a cup underneath and with key ON, see if fuel was being pumped)

Gravity feed the injection pump from above the engine, set the throttle to high, if you get nothing out of the delivery valves of the engine, the pump will need rebuilt.

It sounds as tho the control rack is stuck in the "no fuel" or stop position.
LOOK at how the solenoid operates.. it pushes for no fuel & retracts for it to run..correct?
So remove the solenoid & reach in the hole & do as the solenoid would do..
The control rack is spring loaded, a very light spring, to the run position..
Don't use a lot of force either pulling OR pushing the rack.. things will break.
But u should give it a try before u remove the pump..
But then again, it was a JY tractor & Lord knows how long it sat there??
IF u end up pulling the pump.. Pull the injectors too.. Good Luck.

that is kind of where i was at with my troubleshooting, this rack inside the pump, do you have pictures of what its supposed to look like in the fuel on position? i tried pushing on whatever that solenoid pushes and i get no movement tho i didnt push very hard because that spring doesnt push hard either. but though the hole i see no signs of rust or corrosion. ive also bypassed the manual fuel pump and put an electric one on to make sure i have good fuel pressure. the last thing i forgot to mention in my first post was that while im not getting fuel to my injectors i am getting fuel back to the tank on the return side is this normal?

thats where i was at with my troubleshooting. anyone got any good pictures of the guts of this thing so i know what im trying to accomplish poking around in there? i tried lightly pushing where the solenoid did and didnt get any movement. also the thing i forgot to mention in my last post is while im not getting fuel to the injectors i am getting fuel back to the tank on the return side. is this normal?
