BX2660 Mid mower RPM

Can't seem to find a clear answer to this. I have a BX2660 with a 60 inch mid mower, what RPMs should I be running at when I mow?

Engine is rated for 3,200rpm.
So anywhere close depending on your unique situation.
3000 to 3200 will be just fine imho

There is (probably) a speed marked on the tachometer for PTO speed if the tachometer is analog type.

There may be two markings but I would think there is only one marked and it is used for rear and mid PTO since they both can probably be run at the same time. It should be near maximum engine RPM.

I can see myself sitting with two hands on the throttle, trying to hit 3043 exactly then watching it change as soon as I start moving

I run my BX2380 between about 2700 and 3300 RPM for mowing. It works well within that range. The grass doesn't seem to know the difference.

My BX2370 has a mechanical stop for PTO speed; pull the throttle lever down until it hits the stop.

Somewhere between 3042 and 3044 should be close enough.

I asked almost the same question somewhere on here when we first got our tractor with a mid mount mower a little over a year ago.
