Hi guys, I have a bx25 currently, with a loader, backhooe, mid mount 60" deck and a 4ft king kutter brush hog. I was going to trade in and upgrade to the b2620. When i was at the dealer they told me that with the 2014 model b2620 you have to remove the mid mount deck to operate the backhoe. He also mtold me that the new 2015 model b2620, is updated so you can leave the deck on with the backhoe. Thank god for that. So, i will be waiting til the spring time to upgrade. Now heres my question.

I know both models are a cat 1 3pt hitch. When i purchase my new tractor, Im wondering, Would my current 3pt hitch be the same as the b2620? i just dont want to have to shell out any extra $ for something i already have. Thanks guys

Not sure I can help with your last question, but WHY is it that the MMM has to be removed to use the backhoe? ON my 2013 Bx - if I had to remove the MMM to use the backhoe, GOD that would suck!!! I have removed the MMM only once and it was a PITA - but that is b/c it was on gravel and not level at all ....

curious - why you want to trade up ???? I would sell the BX outright, take the cash and hold it - then take THAT cash to make monthly payments on the 0% load via Kubota.....that way your money can work for you ......and 0 % is very nice!:)

I dont have to remove the MMM to use the backhoe on the BX25.

But when i went to the dealer looking to upgrade, he had 1 left over 2014 B2620 model. He was telling me that with the 2014 model B2620, that the MMM had to be removed when you wanted to use the backhoe. It was something to do with the linkage and the 3pt hitch.

He told me that if i waited, when they get the new 2015 B2620 model this sping, that they updated it, and corrected that problem. So you dont have to remove the MMM to use the backhoe.

I like my BX25, but honestly I need something bigger. Going up the the B2620 makes sense. It has almost twice the power, lifting capacity ect. Its just a bit bigger making it ergonomicall. Not only that but the 5yr deal they have going on right now, it just makes sense. that and it gives me an excuse to get a few new attachments for the tractor haha.

I have a BX24, 2007 vintage... On page 47 of the BX24 operators manual, under Installing Mower, it says... "do not attach or operate the mower with the backhoe unit in place." Not sure why, but I seem to recall reading somewhere on this forum or TBN that it has to do with the power-beyond hydraulics connection to the BH.

I wonder if the same caution is included in the BX25 manual.

Or you could bump up to a B2650 and get a few more goodies...

Capability for a third option valve
greater 3 point lift capacity
slightly heavier
option for a quick release bucket

Those are some of the reasons I chose 2650 over 2620.
