Begin with the simple things. Be sure you cleaned the cables you connected to the battery. Then check the ground where it attaches to the frame. It needs to be cleaned to bare metal.

After you ensure all electrical connections are good perhaps you should get your new battery charged and load tested. New usually means good but not always. Make sure you have taken all the safety switches into consideration. This means operator in seat, clutch depressed, PTO disengaged, etc.
