According to the manual, states to just inspect my fuel filters. When I stopped by my dealer to inquire about cost for the service, they explained what would be done including replacing both fuel filters. A little over $300. Decided to do it myself and purchased both engine filter and oil and hydraulic filer to just change. If the filters looks clean, should I still change them out or wait for the 400 hour service that states to replace then? Thanks

I would change the one coming after the tank .........since both filters are identical - the second one ( near the injection pump) rarely sees any debris and does not need changing as often.

I've got 350 hrs. on mine and just replaced them for the second time, so every other year. Since I've moved the primary filter from under the tractor to up front by the secondary filter it's no hassle . See my post "Fuel Filter Mod for $25". The fuel filters aren't that expensive anyways.

Found the one by the injector pump. Haven't crawled under to find the other one yet. Have read posts about a water/fuel separator. Just wondering if our little tractor needs something like that.

There is no fuel/water separator. The filter you see in your picture is IDENTICAL to what you will find up under near the tank.

Get a good pair of hose pinch clamps to cut the flow of BOTH ways ........... remove filter and replace. If you do not get any diesel on you, or rather bath in it...... you will be better than most! ;) :ROFLMAO:

Once you finish replacing one or both. No need to bleed the system - turn key to the on position - you will hear clicking ....... allow a gooood 30 or more seconds, it will push any air through and the tractor will/should fire up.

Agree with @85Hokie 100%.

That first filter is the one to get loaded up.

There are filter relocation kits that take the place of the first filter. Replaces it to a more accessible location and also uses a filter/water separator design.

I have one of those kits, but just haven’t installed it yet.

Where did you get the kit from?

Just read it. So, that one filter replaces both current filters? Saw the one picture of it mounted on the frame, the other above where your feet are at. The one on the frame looks like it could get damaged going over logs or other stuff. The one by your feet looks to be kind of in the way while operating. The kit doesn’t look too bad to install. Just to decide the best place to put it. Appreciate all the replies. Thanks.

This is what I did back in May of 2021 when I owned a BX25. Getting the front guard right was really the most challenging part of the upgrade. I used a lot of CAD (cardboard aided design). 😂

I like the clear bowl. Good mounting options. Thanks for posting that. Am still pondering upgrading to a B so will replace the filter closest to the tank for now.

No - still need two - one before the lift pump and one before the injector pump.

Moving it simply makes changing filter a lot easier!

Yes - when I was looking at kits I wasn’t sure either.

The kit simply relocates the first filter so it’s easier to replace.

The second filter remains unchanged.
