i have a strange problem maybe someone hear can answer

i started my tractor, and when i put it in gear it stalled out
i checked fuses all were fine
i checked kill switch under the seat and found that it was operating completly opposite of how it should, when i was off the seat(switch up) the tractor would start and run even when put into gear but if on the seat(switch down) it would die, i disconnected the switch from the mount and drove fine for 5-10 minutes then stalled i check the switch again and it had returned to its proper function of running when down(on seat) and stalling when up(off seat) i reinstalled the switch to the mount and it works fine(for now????) bad switch? moisture? ??

It may well be some ice in the switch , I believe that when the switch is open like no weight on it and you put it in gear the curcuit is not made up and as soon as you let out the cluthc it dies ,,, soo if you disabled the swtch by removing it by removing it from its mounting and it ran untill it warmed up and then stopped and then put it back and everything is working,, I would be inclined to check out the wireing for a chafed area looking for a short circuit,, and it may have just moved enough for the switch to work like it is suppose to,, and then if you find nothing maybe look to a new switch,, Just MHO you understand
