I would like to install a temp gauge and sensor. I have not decided if I should install an analog or electronic gauge in, either way I will need to replace the OEM sensor with one to match the new gauge. What thread size is needed for the sensor?
Thank you

Does the dash on your BX24 have a temp gauge? IF so - does it not work?

AS for an install of a new one - either will work well. I have used the electrical type more than mechanical.

As far as the thread type - I am not sure, but most if not all the ones on older Kubota's were BPT - British Pipe threads.

If your old works - I would place a TEE fitting in there and install you new and have the old there also.

The problem is the old gauge on the dash does not work. I have ohmed the sensor out and it checks out OK and checked the wiring for shorts, found none. I am sure the OEM sensor will not work with a new electric gauge is why I need the proper thread size. I will give my dealer a call to see if they can help.
Thank you for your reply.

What you can do is take the OLD sending unit out - place a stopper in there for the short time and then MEASURE the threads and place it back in. You will be able to get all the adaptors via Amazon or local auto parts store. The new kit will need an adaptor I will bet!
