i have a 2005 BX 23D and I have no power to the rail that runs along the three glow plugs. Where is the fuse located for the glow plugs? The dash light comes on for the glow plugs. It starts fine when its warm out but was chilly this morning and it started but turned over awhile before starting. I am thinking its related to the glow plugs. Any help would be appreciated.

There is no fuse for the Glow plugs.
It is direct wired to the glow plugs.
If the light is coming on then the switch is putting the signal out, it's just getting either not getting to the glow plugs or you could just be getting a false reading.
Did you check for power while cranking too?

I don’t see a wiring schematic but you may be able to find one here

well this is EASY to test.....
put voltmeter on the gp rail and ground, turn key to 'preheat', should have 10-12 volts.
If YES, then glow plug9s) is(are) open, defective...
If NO, then wire between glowplugs and the 'joint' is defective.

Ok so I tested with a multimeter and confirmed no power to the rail. I took apart some wiring connections under the dash and cleaned them real good, still no success. The wiring harness looks to be in excellent shape as when it left the factory, i hate to undo the wiring harness. Any other suggestions on what it maybe or what to check before diving into the harness? I replaced the key switch recently. Thanks

Can you find the 'splice' that connects to both glow plug lamp and the rail ?
Wire HAS to be broken between there and the 'rail', since lamp lights up.

according to the wiring diagram in this thread, if the glowplug lamp is on, the glow plugs should have power....

Any chance it could be the rectifier, i see a black wire going there from the glow lamp, the lamp doesn't go out unless it starts which it will when its in my garage, tested glow plugs out of the machine and they get hot.

no, not the rectifer.
check the 2nd half of the wiring diagram.
there's a splice( big dot) between the wires going to the glow lamp and the BRown wire going to the glowplug 'bus' ( strap that connects the 3 glowplugs.
So look at that BRown wire on the GP bus and follow it back to the where it's spliced into the smaller BRown wire going to the glow lamp. 'Somewhere' it's broken....

Update: The light that I thought was the glow plus on the dash was actually the temp sensor light and not the glow plug. So i have no power to the dash light for the glow plugs, checked the voltage. Also check the wire going from the bus strip to the connector that plugs into the key switch and verified i have continuity through that section of wire. It’s actually a red/black striped wire. With that being said would could be the cause for not getting power to that light? Looks like its daisy chained and I checked the light its feeding from and it has 12 volts.

My bet, you have installed the wrong switch.
What was wrong with the original switch?

The switch would not turn off sometimes so I replaced it with a new kubota switch. Is there a way to test the switch to see if I am getting power when I turn to preheat position? I have to spend another $100 for a key switch but it sounds like that’s how the glow plugs get there power. I am thinking its the switch, the new switch has a white label on it when I bought it with the part number which raised a red flag with me. Maybe that’s how they come.

What is the part number of the switch that you got?

quik look...https://www.amazon.com/FridayParts-Ignition-66101-55200-6610155200-BX1500D/dp/B09G2XNVLB is one I found ...

testing is easy, IF the wire colours are same as the diagram....
remove from tractor,go into nice warm house.
use 'beeping' ohmeter with clips. one goes to 'bat' terminal, should be big RED wire.
now connect other probe to the big blk/red wire terminal.
turning key to 'preheat' or 'glow plug' (3rd position) should get you a beeeeeeeeep.

another test you can do..
connect a 12ga wire to that B/R wire going to the 'lamp and GPs', briefly connect to battery +ve. It'll spark ! and you should get lamp to light and GPs to warm up. Put a voltmeter at the GP bus,it'll read 10-12 volts.
If this works then bad switch, cause the wiring is A-OK.
