How is the dealer at fault if you bought an underpowered unit for your needs? And why should the dealer be forced into taking your trade. No one is going to want to buy a used BX2670 with 27hrs on it when they can buy a brand new one with 0 hours, full warranty, and better financing.

Under powered? your sc2400 doesnt have as much HP as the BX, What are you expecting it to do ? DID you read the specs on the BX BEFORE you went and bought it ? or was it a buy and hope it was better?

"Stuck with" is a huge mis-statement, there are people out there would give and arm and leg for "used" BX!

I have used a B2920 with bucket and hoe.....it might have a little more force but for the money the BX is golden!

What does "don't take anyone's word on it mean?" Like your dealer told you that the BX was the shyte and could move mountains? Sure it can, one bite at a time.

For the money, resale and the rest - the BX will out last and perform any other brand around......

sorry you had a bad experience - can you get the Yanmar back?

I took the salesman word that the bx would do the job read my post again I just want other people to beware do more home work than I did and don't take anyone's word on what the tractor will do see for yourself before you buy

papa if you please, tell us what you wanted the BX to do? I have had several other brands and my BX works rings around them. So what wont it do that you expected it to do. Maybe there is an answer for you here, you just have to look and dont be angry, list the BX and Im sure it will be gone by weeks end

papax3, I can feel your pain, and sure others will(at least should) appreciate your warning.

There's only one person responsible for spending your money, and that's the person making the decision on what to purchase. A salesman can tell you all kinds of things, however the buyer has to do some due diligence (homework) before believing what is told.

My money is too hard to earn to make impulsive buying decisions. I analyze a major purchase so many different ways I never ask after the purchase if it was a good deal.

When someone makes a purchase decision that ends up costing them, for whatever reason, Dave Ramsey calls that "stupid tax".

We all end up paying "stupid tax", just have to learn each time, and pay less and less frequently.

Good luck on whatever you do.

What is the issue with the loader? I have a BX2660 which I presume uses the same loader. Without adding weight to the rear of the tractor the loader is pretty much useless. I use some cast iron weights on the three point. I bought a draw bar hitch for the three point and bolted the weights to it, then with my quick hitch I can drop the weight when I don't need the loader. I actually went from using the BX to using the John Deere 850 (Yanmar painted green and yellow) which is 2 wheel drive and could not do the same stuff with the Deere. Maybe a look at the issues is in order to over come the problems.

I have experienced many times where salesmen overstate what a product can do to try to close a sale. Not on a tractor but I have had it happen with cars, motorcycles, etc. Lets all be honest and I think we can all agree that there is a temptation for sales people to push for the sale.

Sorry to the OP and I can totally get what you are saying here. Probably going to take a bit hit dollars wise but hopefully you can get it worked out so you get the tractor you need.
