I purchased this brush hog from the state D.O.T. auction. It is one heavy duty 5 ft. It works great on my tractor. I really don't think they hardly used it. Nothing bent and the blades looked great. Just some surface rust where it must have set outside. After I sand blast it and re-paint(Kubota orange), should look almost new. I won the bid at just over 600.00. Here is a link to what it is:

That is a heavy built mower, built down in the neighborhood of Daren Todd and Lugbolt, I think. The 5 footer is 860# and a classy mower. If it's not all beat up, I'd leave it the original color!

Its not beat up, just light surface rust in some areas. I'm waiting on a local dealer to price me the Bush-Whacker Decals. If reasonable, then I will paint it back to original color.

I retired from a state DOT and we had a few Bush Whacker bat wings. They were built super heavy duty, so much so that the wing pivot points would break out. Lots of welding on those mowers. I really like the looks of the 72" model you have. It should make you a great mower

That POS looks like Hell and I think you're going to hate it. But I'll do you a BIG favor and take it off your hands. I'll even pay shipping on it. What address do I tell them to pick up? :D

(Good on ya'! Enjoy!) Yeah, I'd keep it yellow/original, personally. ;)
