I got an amazing deal on a bradco 609 backhoe. I have an L2501 which has a combined hydraulic flow of 8.3gpm with on 5gpm at the power beyond circuit. I need to tap into the Main supply as that will be just barely enough to run the hoe. Has anyone done this?

Do you have a FEL or anything hooked to it?

There is probably a block on the side of the tractor to tap into and it may have a valve that needs to be turned properly to change the flow path. Look in the operator manual.

EZ-PZ. A quick coupler, 2 hoses, a few fottings, and you are good to go.. Need to know if you have a loader or rear remotes.

There is a block but the flow from said block is only 5gpm as i understand it.

I hope you got a subframe kit for it!
And you don't need a lot of flow to run that BH
I have that BH on my skid steer and run it at an idle.

Bradco 609, a nearly 10 ft backhoe with structure and hydraulics more comparable to what an M59 backhoe is like, is probably too much backhoe for an L2501. The manufacturer specifications say it is intended for 45 - 95 HP tractors.

Wholy understand, however, I only paid 1000 for it and I WILL make it work. I will try it with the standard backhoe feed from the tractor but honestly I've already got plans for a pto pump and reservoir.

I got a really good explanation from a tech in a countryside kubota store. The pump has two separate circuits, one at 3.09 for power steering and the main at 4.99. While it would technically be possible, it wouldn't be very feasible.
Its actually two separate pumps and two separate circuits. I dont know what you think is "technically possible". Combining those two flows is not feasible.

Fair enough! If you get that beast working, you'll have to control any urges to really let loose with it for the sake of your tractor. I almost bought a Bradco 509 for my L4610 long ago and eyed the 609 the dealer had on his lot. Best of luck - and I want to see a picture of it when you're finished!
