Wanting to rip out some weeds and sod and level the ground, Can this be done with a piranha tooth bar and the piranha straight bar on my FEL? Or would a box blade work better? Thanks.

Pure leveling = box blade!

Removing any thing that you cannot run over = PTB

ONE has to be very good to level with the FEL, the PTB will help that but still the operator is the key.

Box blade will snag the high and dump into the low, it has removable teeth that will allow a little more or little less bite too. It is easy to use once set up correctly with the top link.

How much area we talking about ripping up???

500-700 sqft. Right now I have both on order but wondered if I was being redundant with the ripping up the sod part getting both, and don't have experience yet to know how difficult it is to level with the FEL bucket. Sounds like it is hard to do.

I had to rip up some sod around the pool. The boxblade floated above the grass. The boxblade teeth then helped but kept going in in same previous ripped rows not matter what I did. Attacked the rows at a 90 degree angle with the piranha toothbar to get the sod up. Once the grass was gone the boxblade did just fine! It turned out quite nice but needed both.

I have both for my B3200. I do not have any "grass" per se, just old farm field so the tooth bar does a good job in tandem with the box blade. Use the teeth on the box blade to rip the sod and then the tooth blade to skim it off. Where the tooth bar comes in handy is with the small trees and brush in my field. It grabs them and rips them out by the roots.

My big issue now is not having enough weight on the rear wheels when trying to scrape with the FEL. I need to get ballast added to the tires.

You did the right thing to get both. Box blade is good counterbalance weight - would make even more sense if you have a gravel driveway ;)
haha, A few times I have actually found myself wishing I had a gravel driveway to take care of for more justification of the tools I need.

Has anyone used the piranha straight bar? It says for shoveling snow and grading and it also extends the bucket another 4-5 inches.

I cheated.....made ONE to fit OVER the original PTB:D;):)

It too comes off in less than 3 minutes!
