I picked one up as an impulse buy at an auction paid like 50 bucks for it,, a tatter brand, I think TS handles them. it looked brand new. Well I used it today. I have some stuff down from storms and I really cant bull stuff around like I use to. So I put it on the BX and went over the hill,,, well dayum, it lifted trees up to the point where I could cut them standing up right almost. It took a little bit of figuring how to chain the trees to cut but I like it,,Yeah I know a bucket with a grapple would work better maybe on the next one ;)

I had one on my 53 Jubilee - worked great.
I welded a hook near the end, chain or choke the load and hook to welded hook.
Worked like a charm.
Great to reach over something and have a long arm.....still have to know your limitations!:D

I bought one from tractor supply years ago. Use it to drag logs out of the woods for firewood. Works great!

Got mine from TSC about 10 years ago. The had it on clearance for $50.
Added a winch, and it's paid for itself many times over. It plus a hydraulic top link and winch have made getting downed trees to the burn pit.

I made one to haul a set of tandem discs using my A-C D-14. Easier than loading discs onto 6by8 flatbed, towing it with tractor, unloading ,hokking up, discing then sigh, doing same to get home..
Once I figured out 'tie-downs', road travel was easy and fast !

Doesnt that make the front end allot lighter???

I was popping too many wheelies on my hilly property with any implement I was using, so I had it just a little bit of front end weight to help out.
When I move with a load like this, I pull the hydraulic link all the way in and a three point all away up, kinda helps with the balance

I made my own boom pole to fit on a SSQA plate. It is made from sch. 80 - 2" x 10 foot pipe with a welded 1/2" x 2" lower flat bar and rebar reinforcing and 1-1/4" support pipe. It will lift rail road ties rated at 200-300 lbs. each with ease.
