My size 12 work boots are a perfect fit to catch under both front and back of the HST pedal when I'm getting out of the seat. I'm afraid one of these days I'm going to do some real damage to my right knee because I have to twist to get out (I'm 6'-2" and mostly legs).

Has anyone fabbed a pedal that's friendlier to big boots?

Thanks
Dave

I saw where someone placed a piece of metal plate on top of the HST pedal and bolted on. He fabricated some thread on top so his foot would not slip. His foot did not touch the running board between the two pedals. And he could unbolt it if he was to sale the tractor. The new pedal was bent down in the middle but since it was on top of the original pedal his boot no longer got caught under it.

Hope that makes sense.

Everyone with a BX23S gets a left leg workout using the brake pedal ! It's way too far away from the floor......
I like the 'bent-plate-fwd-rev' idea...might look into that....

I like it. Maybe either a piece of diamond plate from Tractor Supply or flat metal and an anti-slip tread from Harbor Freight...

I fabed this up to accomindate my size 13s. Also makes it easier to use reverse by just hooking the toe underneath.

I don't touch the left pedal unless I'm setting the parking brake. If the tractor doesn't come to a quick stop when the HST pedal is neutralized (aside from a steep slope and/or carrying/towing something heavy), then something's out of adjustment.

i struggle also, 6’O, Right knee replacement was a flop, so i struggle even pulling up the pedal for reverse, and my knee wont bend far enough to use the reverse as its made. sumhow i need to extend the whole pedal.

We have a poster on this forum that is wheelchair bound. He attached a plate from the front of the pedal to the rear of the pedal. He then fabricated a handle and welded it so he can push it forward and pull it back to move his machine. I am sure you could do this so that you could go forward with your foot and pull it back by hand.

Im actually going to look at the cruise control lever for controlling reverse. Actually i was under the tractor today and noticed the threaded rod linkage going from pedal to cruise control lever. It may be possible to make it push for reverse versus pulling to go forward as it does now. Hmmmmm[emoji851][emoji848]
