Couple of you guys must be getting batteries from store that use a different warehouse. I use a lot of Walmart sold batteries and get the Everstart Maxx and absolutely have no complaints, except availability.

Another former Neverstart user here.
After 10 years, I would probably just replace it. Unless you can deal with a sunken no start situation. Jumping and running on a known bad battery isn't a good idea. That can take out the alternator.

May be the best buy but selection is really limited lately!! So it's no bargain if it's not available.
Have not bought any batteries "lately".

I think I would just use a battery maintainer on the existing battery when the tractor is stored until it became obvious it was time to get a new battery. UNLESS a day delay in being able to use the tractor was a serious consideration. Even then jumping it one time to get it running would probably fix that issue and provide time to get a replacement, since that tractor is not used daily.
I’m not sure that it’s a good idea to jump start anything with a ECM.

I have used Walmart batteries I guess since they have been selling them and never a problem. The Walmart battery in my GMC pickup is seven years old and going strong.

Little, or no, advertising hype for Walmart batteries.
PLENTY of $$$ advertising hype for Interstate batteries.
Advertising $$$, must be recouped at time of sale.
