i am considering changing to a manual gearbox do i need to get the manual gearbox bell housing as well. if so why the only difference i can see is that there are a few more access holes on the hydostatic

A lot of the parts are different
Clutch housing is different
Propeller shaft is different
The steering box is different

It's a ton of work to swap those two around!

Why do you want to swap?

just desparate

changed hydrostatic drive /plates
clutch / strainers / filters / cleaned out whole system

i am losing drive when the oil heats up

i did have an issue of forward / reverse until i cleaned the lower valves in the bottom of the gearbox

overhauled the engine a few years ago, its strong really don't want to lose it
there is very little info out there on hst version for testing or setting up
local dealers about here have no ideas as its not a mower

looking for any ideas / suggestions / help
