I just replaced the seals and bearings in the front vertical pivot assembly (bevel gear assembly is I believe the correct term) on my B8200D 4wd tractor (4 ball bearings, 2 seals and an O-ring per side). Appears to be sucessful, with no leaking now. But, thinking back on how it is constructed inside there got me to wondering, just what inner component(s) takes the vertical thrust load? I don't recall seeing a thrust bearing or washer per se, and there is no mention of it in the parts diagram in the manual.

It all seems to work fine now, just wondering what takes the thrust load. Thanks for any insight.

The thrust load is light and it is the ball bearings that take the load, hence why they don't use roller bearings that can not take a thrust load. ;)
