I have a 97 b8200d with no hydraulic pressure or flow it seems. Is anyone familiar with testing and or rebuilding this hydraulic pump assembly

Have you check it for suction and fluid getting to the pump?
Have you checked it for pump rotation?

What are you running with the pump (FEL, Three point, aux operations)?

The odds of a full pump failure is rather low, even a bad pump will normally have some fluid flow and pressure.

There is not much that can be done to rebuild that pump if it is burned out, best bet is replacement if it needs it.

My 3 point does not raise or lower .. the arm can easily be moved up and down manually. I removed the screw in check point (i think that is what it was) there was fluid in but no pressure

I got the tractor for free and the previous owner has since passed away . I dont think that he used the 3 point lift in years

They only made the '83- '90...you sure it's a B8200?

My mistake, I looked at the picture and it is a B8200, you just have a typo on year.

See the hex head looking at you in the picture at a 45deg angle with a stop pin on it. Might rotate the back to the stop and see what happens.

ok guys I pulled the return line screen and cleaned it off and replaced the hydraulic fluid but still no joy .. is it necessary to bleed the system after a flush and fill ?

Have you confirmed that the pump is rotating?

I cracked the line at the bottom of the pump and got fresh looking fluid .. when I cracked the output of the diverter valve no fluid .. I did try turning the bypass valve with no luck also

Remove the outlet pipe at the pump and see what you get.
Depending on your pump, you may also be able to see in the outlet directly onto the gears to see if they are rotating.

When I cracked the pipe with the engine running I got a good flow of fresh fluid .. right now rebuilding the diverter valve itself since i get no fluid via its output ports

Great! When you had said you had fluid at the pump, I thought you were checking the input to the pump. Nice to have a win and not have to replace the pump, hopefully the valve will behave with a clean out and a couple of orings and the 3pt will be up and running.

A bit off this thread, but a question related to using the pictured hydraulic block.

What is the fitting configuration for tapping into the diverter block?

I've seen some reference that show "adapters" out of the block and into "regular" hydraulic fittings.

TIA

with the tractor running at 2600 rpm I get a little fluid flow when I open the larger of the two plugs .. with the lift arm in lift when I manually move the three point I get no tension or resistance ..

After adjusting the rod to keep the system from automatically raising the 3 point arms I shut off the tractor. Now when I start it I get nothing on the 3 pt no hydraulic pressure at all .. I ordered a WSM but the diagrams show different hydraulic components

Any suggestions

Tom

Try readjusting or just disconnect the feedback linkage and see if you get movement.
Have you confirmed that your getting flow to the three point control?

Take some pictures of all that you been working with, you would be surprised how many time a picture gives the answers.

The side hydraulic ports are BSPT fittings and the top ports are banjo fittings. ;)
