B8200 Weak Hydraulics? Couldn’t Pull Tposts up.

Just got a B8200 that seems to be in decent condition. We drove some 6.5 foot t-posts in the wrong spot and went to pull them back up with FEL. The FEL would not budge the posts. Just curious if this is normal or something that this tractor should be able to do?

Do you have a Kubota FEL? What is it’s model number? (Double the model number and you’ll have an approximation of it’s lifting capacity.). ;)

My L2501 uses a LA525 loader. So 525 x 2 =1050 pounds and the web site said 1131 pounds.

Your B8200 uses a BF300 loader. So 300 x 2= 600 pounds and Tractor Data says 705 pounds of lift.

But to answer your question about the post. Tractor data says the lift is 705 pounds. The breakout force is 1145 pounds.

If you have more posts to pull place the chain around the bottom of the post. With the bucket tipped froward slightly pull up on the post until the chain comes tight. Then curl your bucket back and that should be enough to pull the t-posts.

Kubota literature indicates that is is in kgs... at the Pins. If one considers the actual place most folks attach things is forward of the pins...then lbs is a good approximation....(which is the word I used in my earlier post about this.). ;)

I pulled a few posts recently with my fel on an L4060 and initially picked up the rear end. Those little posts can be deceptively difficult.
As previously mentioned, bringing the chain up tight then curling the bucket works best. There is also the more capable 3 point.

Mine will not lift the rear wheels off the ground. Just stops dead in it’s tracks. I assume with a 600 lbs fel life it can’t lift the rear with ballasted tires?

As NIW recommended, if you want to confirm all is well with the fel I would load it up with a known weight and see what it does.
Once you confirm that it's working up to specs, curling the bucket will work better in the future.
Drifting off topic... I had a B8200 2wd (no fel). You have a great machine! I got more work done with that thing even without 4wd and loader.
