Hey guys! I just joined the forum. I’ve got a question regarding the possible purchase of a B7800 I found.

I currently have a B7500 that I use for my small property. It’s been a great tractor but the opportunity to “upgrade” has me thinking.

If I decide to buy the 7800 would any of the parts I’ve got on my B7500 swap over? The brush guard and suitcase weights will probably be easily swapped I’d think.

I’m primarily interested in swapping over the fixed ROPS I currently have so I can fit in my garage with the canopy.

Does anyone here know if the fixed ROPS from my B7500 would swap over to the B7800?

There’s some sort of rear remote on the B7800 roll bar that the seller said he never used. Does it look like a Kubota option to you guys? What could it be used for?

I’m throwing out a picture of my B7500 just because it’s fun to show off your toys. The attached B7800 pictures are from the potential seller.

Why change out the ROPS? If you want the roof, just swap that over. It just bolts on.

They both look like nice clean tractors. Without knowing what your usage and plans may be, it makes me wonder why an upgrade doesn't include things like a loader, even more HP, etc. or perhaps even a cab. With those front weights it leads me to believe you want to do more than run around with a belly mower.

I don’t really need a loader. I’ve got a S130 skid steer I use for “loader” work.

I brush hog enough that I want the added HP of the B7800 to handle a bigger hog. The addition of a mid range is kinda a big deal to me. The B7500 low range is painfully slow for mowing but high range is too fast. The added HP with a mid range sounds like a good combo for me.

Its primary purpose will be mowing - either finish mowing or brush hogging.

That makes sense. With nearly 10 more HP and the three ranges it is a substantial move.

I had a B7500 and went to an L3200 that resulted in approx. the same improvements, but a larger frame. The L3200 handled a 6' RFM better than the B7500 handled the 5 footer.
