b7500hsd value

I have seen a used B7500hsd 4x4 for sale nearby. It has a loader and 54"MMM. The ad says it has 299 original hours as the owner has it for his second home. He is asking $7900 for it. Do you think it is worth it. My father is looking for a tractor and I think this would be a good buy. Thanks BAP

For my area, and what it would be worth to me, $7900 is high. I would go look at it, drive it, then decide. I think they are shooting high because of the low hours, but I have seen better deals.
Myself, I would be interested if it were in the $6000 range. But, that's just me.

Maybe I'm too cheap. I just surfed through Tractorhouse, and didn't see anything in that price range, offering the same equipment. From the looks of Tractorhouse, $7900 is a good deal.

Around here that would be a very good deal for a clean unit. Bought a new tractor last year then turned around and sold my nice 2002 B7500/HST/FEL to a dealer for $9K. He put it on the lot for $10,500 (don't know what he sold it for). We were both happy.

I just bought a B7500 HSD, original owner, 500 hrs, with FEL....no MMM, for $8000, and thought it was a good eal compared to what else I was able to find. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help guys. I went with my father to look at it today and is was in extremely good condition. They guy who owned it only used a couple of months a year as he now lives in Thailand and comes back hear for two months in the summer. We were able to buy it for $7800. The bucket is in good shape with little wear on the cutting edge and the mower looks good. He had all the books and paper work which he passed on. Also he had a set of filters and a 5gal diesel can he threw in. Pick it up tomorrow.
