B7500HSD losing power

Hello all,

I have a B7500HSD 4WD with 450 hours on the engine. Over the course of the past year I have noticed that it does not seem to have the power that it once did. For example, when going up hill, the engine really bogs down. When I have my mower engaged, it really does. This used to not happen. Any ideas of what may cause this?

Normally lack of power is caused from lack of fuel or air. How long since filters have been changed? Check for food fuel flow out of tank.

Have you changed fluids, filters, and pick up screens lately?
Dirty or plugged, air, fuel, hydro filters and hydro pick-up screens will all cause you to lose power!
Also check the radiator levels too, hot running tractors loose power.

This may sound crazy but check your fuel cap and make sure it is still vented i noticed on mine that when the fuel got low it would create a vacuum in the tank and the fuel would not flow correctly .But also make sure fuel and air filters are clean and that the radiator is not stopped up with seeds grass ect .Hope this helps .

If you consider one of the OP's several other threads, it doesn't sound crazy at all!

I change my oil, oil filter annually, and my hydro fluids and filter per the scheduled maintenance called out. What is a pickup screen and where is it located?

I know I have an issue with the venting of my fuel tank due to what I described in another post which is why I am having to keep the cap loose so my tank won't collapse, but I think I am getting plenty of ventalation by doing that. I also check and clean my fuel filter annually as well.
