Have b7500 hst, 4 whl drive, backhoe, & bucket , purchsed new in
fall of 2002.
Every 100 hrs, i have to replace the front steering tie rod.
Prt # 6c120-56420.
The tractor is used in the woods,(soft soils) 4whl dr. Ag tires.
Tires are not worn, just the tires go out of alingment or tip out.
The rod is floppy.
The front diff, is currant on service, and works fine,
why do i have to replace the rod every 100 hrs.?

Thanks in advance to all

Welcome aboard! That's a strange one. I'm no expert on steering parts, but there are a lot of smarter people here who may be able to shed some light on that. It may be helpful if you could post pictures. I had a 2002 B7500HST from new till 2012. It had about 1100 hours on it and never any problems with the steering.

Does it wear one end or the other or both?
When you have it off, lift the front end pull the drag link and see if there is any tension while turning the wheels.
My guess is you have a bad bearing or two which is making the wheels hard to steer.
