Valve quit working with no sounds and no resistance in the lever. Mechanically, the interior springs and O rings look intact and no damage to metal parts.
Front loader hydraulics are not affected.
I have not removed the relief valve as the screw is dimpled. Yes, I'm a bit of a coward.

Which control valve are you talking about? Im assuming since the front loader works your referring to the 3pt valve. I found a previous thread that might help.

If your referring to the loader valve, i replaced mine not to long ago with a "Brand" spool valve. It wasnt cheap. But rebuilding the factory one wasnt really a long term solution.

Yes, 3 point. Sorry for the confusion.

Have you checked the feed back linkage?
Have you confirmed you have hydraulic flow / pressure to the valve?
It's very very rare for these valves to just fail to work.

Thank you for responding
The linkage is intact and connected, I also disconnected and ran it through its range of motion before I removed the valve, and no fluid movement or function even with no load.
Your 2nd point is interesting. I started the tractor with the valve removed, no oil out from the pump side. Since the front loader works fine, is the screen only for the rear hydraulics?

Yea that's not right at all.
Is it a Kubota loader?
if it is, what model number is it?
Is there a pump on the front of the tractor?
Can you include some pictures of the plumbing from the loader valve to the tractor?

Is there any diverting valve that got moved to the incorrect position? I don’t know if there is one on your tractor (and suspect that @North Idaho Wolfman would have asked if there is).

Loader is 1640A.
No front mounted pump.
The hydrostatic drive works properly

Can you raise the 3pt arms by hand? Perhaps if something sheered inside you would be able to feel some type of grinding on the inside through the bars. Just a thought..

Ty for answering.
There is no valve that I'm aware of.
I was chopping some weeds along a fence row and couldn't raise the chopper at the end.
I might have found the problem but cant confirm until I get the 3 pt.valve back together.
Thank you for the suggestion of a valve, there's a small one on the hydraulic block for the front loader connections.

I may have found the problem.
There's a small valve in the hydraulic block at the front loader hose connections. I was chopping weeds/brush along a fence row right before I noticed the problem.
I switched position and now have fluid coming out at the 3pt valve feed.
Now my challenge is finding gaskets to rebuild the valve, many parts are discontinued.

Thank you very much for your help.
Can't confirm until valve is reassembled and installed but im hopeful.

Yes that's the selector valve and if it's the wrong direction the loader will work but the three point will not.
That is why I wanted to see the hydraulic hook up to see if that could be an issue.
Your on the right track!

Call Coleman Equipment as they have quite the network to find old parts.

Other option is Gasket paper and oiled parts copy.
I would avoid RTV for anything on it.
