Greetings. I have one of the later model B7100's. It was missing a few parts and others needed replacement. No big deal so far. On the 3-point hitch, the parts book references a chain. And I see this item on some other photos. Not the check-chains, just a loose hanging link chain. What is that for?

It's a safety chain to hold the three point up, it's required in some countries if your road driving with some implement on the three point. ;)

Between the upper lift arms, just below where the upper link attaches to the tractor, is a split piece of steel. The chain link fits down inside that slit, and allows you to adjust the chain to hold the 3 point where you want it. I use mine when I have the mower up to remove and sharpen the blades.
