B7100 steering

I rebuild my steering after a bearing seized. The recirculating balls were all found in the steering box, so I bought new ones. I put in 48 or so and reassembled. Now the tractor seems to have a lost a lot of its turning circle. Did I put in too many of the little bearings? What is the right number?

Ps note to self-- keep rainwater out of your steering box.

I think it is 54 bearings in the ball nut on a B7100.

Yes too few will cause your problem.
