I'm looking to mate a front end snow blower to a B1700. Can anyone recommend a crank driven PTO setup?
Nothing is solidified and I'll grab a 40+ inch blower off craigslist. The PTO is the concern.

Thanks in advance guys.

Im a little confused ..... you have B7100 in your heading - and B1700 in your question.

Is your B7100 and older or newer version? 4 bolt or 6 bolt front wheel pattern?

I had the the B7100 with Kubota snowblower. They aren't the best setup. First they are single-stage, and second, no matter how new the belt was, it would always slip when you get into wet, heavy snow. I'd recommend a three-point pto blower.

Oops sorry. Older early 80's version B7100.

I agree on the cheapo single stage thing they sold back then, the B748B. It was pretty flimsy etc. Besides, you can't find one anymore.

I've been focusing on this install and I'm pretty sure I'll fabricobble a 2 stage 45 inch from a Cub Cadet onto it. I've ordered parts to make a crank PTO essentially similar to what Kubota had. It'll take some lathe and mill time but that's the game plan. Pic is from an ebay ad.

*Then there's my luck. When I get 90% through this project something will come up that is totally OEM that I could bolt on and go.
