Newly rebuilt ran great started up yesterday ran about 15 min then motor started revving on its own revving way too high killed it let sit for a while then restarted moved it back to its park spot maybe a minutes drive and it was doing it again I’m guessing inj pump messing up in Arkansas freezing cold

Have you been into the Injection pump?
How much of the engine did you get into?
Do you have any throttle control of the engine?
Any smoke when it does this?
Is the fuel new?

By what method are you 'killing' the engine when it runs away?

Ok, color me real confused as the B7100 does not have a stop lever on the side????

Is the motor out of something else?

Small yellow lever is stop lever on my 7100 throttle lever won’t kill it....
----
Kill lever below throttle
When I hear 'run away' or 'over revving' I think of over the full throttle setting and NOTHING stops it.

The B7100 kill 'lever' and the throttle act on the same shaft to the injection pump. If you can shut down with the kill lever under the dash then I think your linkage is screwed up somehow or your snow shoes are pushing on the foot throttle (wink). If you can shut the engine down with the throttle lever you have a whole different problem.*** There is adjustment on that linkage.

I can only wish for a freshened engine in my B7100. But at my age the machine's power and the hydraulics are just self adjusting to my capabilities and have declined over time. It's perfect for me.

*** Do you have a B7100 service manual? I have no ideas what's under the injector lever's top cover with the four screws. There have to be two springs that return the engine to a low idle position. One springs the lever home from High to Low idle and the other from Shut down to Low Idle.

Question to those knowledgeable in the B7100 fuel injector: Is there a governor involved for high speed? I'm guessing not but it's never come up. I've wondered though.

If you have a runaway engine you'd have to completely block off the air supply to get it shut down. Then depending on the size of the engine that may be a problem, but with your engine a real heavy doubled over winter coat may smother it.

Yes there is a governor.
Yes he could be having a spring issue?

Nothing to do with the subject being discussed, but I like your "handbrake" set up.
