B7100 hst alternator???

Learning more and more about these tractors..:confused:...first i find out there is no water pump....which is good...one more part i won't ever have to buy....and i noticed yesterday that I didn't see an alternator....can someone help me understand this?...I assume the battery gets charged somehow....thanks:D

They have a charging system. Can't remember the name (dynometer?), but it is located just behind fan where a water pump would normally be.

MMudd nailed it, it's a dyno, you can see 2 wires coming out on the left hand side and then go to the back of the dash, that's where the voltage regulator is at.

I had to replace the bearing in the DYNAMO on my B1750 a couple of years ago. Much cheaper than a complete new unit. Depending on the model year (?) some had a DYNAMO, some had an alternator.

BTW, just so that you don't look silly if you need to ask for parts; a dyno or dynamometer is a device for measuring force.
