Just picked up a project. The tractor only has 6th gear, no low, no 1/2, reverse grinds. I’m thinking trans rebuild. Any suggestions on where to get parts?

You'll need to figure out exactly what part you need, get a part number, (https://apps.kubotausa.com/illustrated-parts/).
Then start searching, Internet, EBay, Craig's list, or buy another parts tractor are going to be your best bet.
Some parts are going to be harder to find than others.

One note with the B6000's you need to find out if it's a Grey or non Grey unit.
Give me a serial number and I can tell you.

2 broken gears so far, 1 completely off the shaft hence no shifting. 1 stripped 1/3 of the teeth, likely the grinding in

Next question, it won’t shift into low. The fork seems to be stuck just before it engages the gears and won’t go any further. Any thoughts?

I think your going to need to tear it down and find all the broken parts first as that's probably the reason it won't shift.
I would start looking for a donor B6000 or a at least a donor transmission.

I found
1 missing gear 66611-14280
1 stripped gear 66611-14460
1 chipped/worn gear 66611-14852
and it looks like the high/low gear is binding on the shaft and won’t go to the low notch which is 66591-14413

I have found all the parts online and eBay, thanks for the parts list.

Serial number is B6000-37812 if you could verify it is a grey market unit.

Thanks,

CAUTION!
I gave you a parts link for non grey models, yours is a grey, so parts may or may not match your model.

That serial number is for 35 models of Kubota, but no B6000.

There is no grey parts lists available for the B6000 that I know of.

What are the chances that the reverse shaft is bent? It seems wonky when rotated but it’s a 1” shaft.

Next question is would you buy gaskets for reassembly, or use liquid gasket?

Sorry for all the questions, should some of the bearings be pressed onto the shafts? So far 3 have needed to be pulled off with a bearing puller.

Thanks,

The reverse shaft does appear to be slightly bent. Could it come like this or did a 1" steel shaft bend without cracking the aluminum case?

Also, any opinions on liquid gasket?

Use gaskets and liquid together.
Yes it's possible to bend a shaft without breaking the case.
No bearings should have to be forced on or off shafts.
Kubota did not press any parts, they are all tolerance fit.

Interesting, why would some of the bearings have to be pulled off then I wonder? They won’t slide back on either, they will need to be forced back on. Makes sense they should be tolerance fit since some also had retaining clips. Could this be because it’s a grey model? Or damage caused by whatever bent a shaft and probably twisted another? I wonder if I should get new bearings as well.
