Guys,

went to deliver a 6' scraper blade to me BIL, he has a B2920 with hoe. He has hooked up the 3 point kit once before(must have been a while back:eek:!) So we took the hoe off, and got ready to put the arms on the 3 point. I looked at the pin and how there was not enough room to slide the eyelets in to lock them to the horz rod. The manual was a joke! Came to the conclusion that the horz rod had to slide side to side......place one eyelet in and then slide the rod and get the other side in. NOT SO FAST MY FRIEND ! That #@%!@@%^% Rod would not budge! OK - he got out the wd-40, said you got anything else ? Nope....went to local hardware store, PB blaster and back. Sprayed the hell out of it. Large screwdriver in hole and it would turn a bit, but being able to get it to go side to side was dayum near impossible! I could see no rust of any kind, everything looked clean! Noticed after a few turns that there was a divot at the center where a lock bolt would hit, bolt wasnt there, dont think it was there from day one.
Almost an hours worth of twisting and cussing the design, I got it to slide to the right. I was going to take the tire off and slide the entire pin out and steel wool it and place it back but......ya, sure - those lugs on that rim needed a lot more butt to get off than I had! Anyway - after a longer period of time than I thought, I got it back to the left. Finally got a little smarter and found a 2x4 to "slide" it left to right via the tire/rim. Even with a 6 foot 2x4 it was hard to "slide." Got the blade on and then took it off, he just wanted to see how it went........
But guys, wtf - this horz rod should slide "freely" yes? I have not had an experience with this model tractor. Someone who does this a lot chime in and tell me what is going on! Thanks in advance!

If you look at the rod and locking bolt it look like the bolt goes though the hole in the rod, I bet if you were to get the rod all the way out you would find a sheared off bolt stuck in the hole on the pin.
That's the reason it was butting up such a fight.
Might be worth taking time to remove the tires and pull the bar all the way out and fit it properly. ;)

You know - I thought of that, but that bolt hole is as clean as whistle! AINT nuttin in there! See, I can spin the rod 360, and see the "divot" that the bolt should/would lock into......that divot had no tearout marks or any thing.....

I think that the harness (part number L117xx) that holds the rod is "binding" on the other part of the tractor. In orther words, there are two sets of holes that must be aligned perfectly. If I tried to loosen the 4 bolts of L117XX, and I tried one and it was tight a tick, then I think it would be free. But I dont understand the design, what a pita! If someone wanted to take the 3 point set off and on - that rod better be loose!

Anyway, it is 200 miles away, so aint my problem, but I would have that thing ground 30 thou just to make it slide or grease the sheeeat out of it ifn I was to have to use it!:D

My guess would be the rod has somehow gotten a little bit bent.

I looked at that too, as I spun it, there was no sign of being bent.....but then again a few thousand here and there and I would never have seen it. I really think the plate to the tractor is binding it....but ....

Does anyone have this type of sliding rod "hook-up" or is this a rare bird in the Kubota 3 point world?
