I have a question, I have just ordered a B2782B front mount snowblower for my B3030 tractor. I ordered it with both the hydraulic rotation and hydraulic deflection. My issue is the does this system come with a switch to change from rotation to deflection? My tractor does not have the third function . My dealer knows nothing and says they have no info until it comes in. I thought I read on this site that the kit comes with a seperate switch. If anyone knows anything please let me know.

Is it going to be front mounted or rear mounted?
Does your tractor have a FEL?

AJ,
I have the B2781A blower on the front of my B3030 with the hydraulic shute rotator on it. I've never seen one with a hydraulic deflector on it but if yours has one on it you would be getting a 3rd function valve of some type in order for it to work. You say it comes with a "switch" which is what comes with the electric deflectors which I plan on putting on mine some day when I get around to it. I'll buy a linear electric cylinder and a rocker switch normally used on an ATV winch and mount that to my loader joystick so I can flip it to move the shute up or down. It's not really necessary to have most of the time but it would come in handy as the snow gets deeper to be able to throw it higher up or use it when I'm along side something when I basically want to dump it behind/beside at the same time,
Simply put it would be very slick sometimes to have the option of using it without getting out of the warm cab and I can build what I need for less than $100.00 for parts and paint to cover up what gets ground or burned off when welding the bracket on. Don't want any bolt heads or nuts inside the shute to keep it as smooth and slick as it can possibly be.

If you don't otherwise specify, and order the hydraulic deflection, they install a 12 volt solenoid diverter valve with switch on the joystick (I think). You can only do one function at a time. No biggie, but I didn't want the few active brain cells I have left getting all confused with the same stick movement running to disparate functions.

I said the heck with that, and ordered the 3rd function valve, a bit more, and also has buttons on the stick, but I can use 3rd function for other stuff like a grapple later. And, can operate more than one function at a time

I didn't order the hydraulic deflection kit from Kubota. Easy (well, if you weld and don't mind working a little) and cheaper to buy a 4" stroke cylinder and install it myself, welding on cylinder brackets etc. I made a 1/32" restrictor to slow the cylinder to a reasonable speed. I used a 2" diameter cylinder, that much power isn't needed, but the added volume also helps keep it from going too fast.
