B2650 turns over. won't start

B2650 sputtered out after driving on a slope. Now it will not run. It will turn over and attempt to start only to sputter out and die. This happened a year ago but everything work fine after letting the tractor sit for a an hour.

Its under warranty but the dealer is going to charge me to haul it to their shop. I'd rather fix it myself if its something simple.

Any ideas as to why this happened? TIA

I'm sure you've already done this, but I would check the fuel level if it died while you were driving on a slope. If low, I would add some and bleed your system.

Fuel level is full. it did first sputter on the slope when the fuel was low. Filled tank. Still no luck.

Check WSM for bleeding - or check a youtube video, or the video posted here :

there might be a restriction in the line or the tank - a small piece of something is stuck.

Pull off line at tank if possible - it should "pee" out well - if dribbles, you found problem. Check all filters too.

FIXED... Trash in fuel tank.

I did as instructed I the video. Loosened injector bolts and cranked until fuel was coming out. Then tighten injector bolts back down. Tractor would then start and run for about 3 seconds, sputter then die.

I then pulled the line going into the fuel filter (from fuel tank). It dribbled. As 85Hokie said, "...you found your problem."

Attempted to push a cleaning rod through the file line with no luck. Ended up getting a pancake aircompressor/tank and blew a little shot of air up the fuel line and dislodged whatever was blocking the line. Fuel came pouring out. It cranked and ran. Hopped on it and got it back to the house!

While I don't plan to let the fuel level get down to 1 bar (digital gauge) again, I am going to drain the tank and get anything out that could clog the line again.
