B2650 toplink

I tried buying a cat 1 toplink from tractor supply and even one from harbor freight. They don't fit in the tractor end they are too wide. Is there a solution other than spending a hundred dollars on a genuine Kabota?

Can you grind a little off each side of the ball so it will be narrower?

I probably can grind the sides, but how come a cat 1 won't fit. Kabota B series proprietary top link sized??

I replaced my top link on the B2650 right away. It just seemed way to light duty when hanging my snow blower and a few other implements on the back end. Picked up mine at a Fleet Farm and found the same problem....too wide.
A minute or two with the side grinder fixed it quickly.

Thanks for your replies. Grinding seems to be the best option other than buying original.
