Read a lot of times that the hydraulic oil needs to be checked frequently... So where is the dipstick? I know where the engine oil dipstick is... and the trans dipstick back by the 3 point hitch... even my manual doesn't show a hydraulic oil dipstick! Is the trans and hyd the same one?
Tractor is only 6 months old so still learning it!
Thanks

The transmission and hydraulic system use the same resivor and use the same dipstick by the 3 point. Also don't forget to check your front axle fluid if its 4wd.

Thanks for the quick reply!
I do have 4WD, how do you check the front axle?

The front axle inboard of the right front wheel. It’s a black rubber cap with the fill levels on a tiny dip stick. You gotta kinda twist, squeeze and pull to work it out.

Youre going to love that stump bucket, good for so much. I make electric and water line trenches with mine. Remember your 2601 is a smaller tractor, and you use the stump bucket to excavate far around stumps and boulders and sneak up on depth slowly. You can’t just push the nose under the target and lift.

Make sure you get that front axle cap back on properly. As stated above it is a little difficult to remove, also somewhat difficult to properly re-install.
