I was wondering if any of y'all with a b2601 are having problems with the loader bucket not holding? I was lifting the corner of some prefab concrete steps to level up and the loader would hold the steps up for maybe one min. before the steps would be on ground again.

It should hold for quite a bit longer than that. Is the bucket cylinder drooping or is the entire loader dropping down?

Not sure which. I can curl bucket all the way in and after 1 min. it will drop about 1 in. The loader itself will drop down to floor after sitting over nite.

The bucket drift sounds pretty pronounced. First suspect would be a bad piston seal in one or both cylinders but that is a pretty new machine. If you block the loader arms up hoow long does it take for the bucket to go from full back to full down?

Haven't tried that yet but that will be next. The dealer took it in for repair and said it was within Kubota specs. but if it got worse they would repair it. The tractor has 9 hrs. on it.

Then all I can say is the specs are a farce.

I think that is the standard BS, it could drop like a rock and they would say "within specs."

Reminds me of the GM 5.3L oil consumption issue from AFM, "1 quart over 5000 miles... That's within spec!" 😂

There is a specific amount of drop per specific time. Maybe the dealer service dept. is just not up to snuff!

My 2601 loader will bleed down over night, but my bucket pretty much stays put. My 2620 did the same thing. If I have something heavy in the bucket the loader will bleed down slowly one step at a time when the tractor is off.
