Baldwin, Donaldson, Wix/ Mann Hummel all have good filters for diesels. Just use their cross reference to find one.

Is there an over the counter national brand engine oil filter that is equivalent to the Kubota filter?
Now Jack - I was assuming your machine is a B26 - yes? OR IS IT a B2601???

I was surprised to discover my Kubota dealer only charged $2 more for the genuine Kubota filter than WalMart charges for aftermarket.

Noone ever said that Walmart was inexpensive on everything. They tailer their prices to the economic community that they serve. The wealthier the community the more expensive the products. If you want to save money, shop in the inner city stores.

Interestingly enough, the part number for the engine oil filter on a B2601 is the same part number you provided.

About $15 from the dealer. Anyone that can afford even fuel a modern tractor should probably be able to save up for an OEM filter.

Or not, since aftermarket will work. Messick’s has a nice comparison video of the internal differences.
