Making bigger pads for the B26 backhoe.
Bought used and came with the optional rubber pads. Never had rubber pads before a surprised how well they gripped and extra height, 2.7”. Still would sink on soft ground. OEM pads 10”X10”.
MEGA pads 18”X16”. Rubber and steel cleats. 3”x3” angle and 2” square tubing. 60# each.
About 6” height rise over OEM. Helpful to plumb up on our hillside farm.

Fantastic job man!

I was recently thinking of making a set for my 77.

I was thinking of using 3/8 or 1/2 conveyor belt material for the "pad" part.

What did you use?

The B26 came with the optional rubber pads. Same pads used for all their TLBs.
Found a set NOS on eBay for the M59 cheap.
They are about 3”x3”x12” long. Rubber pad made of several layers of reinforced belting. Wouldn’t be hard to make but I didn’t make them.

If the rubber pads had not come with B26 would not have tried them as we have few hard surfaces. Have used several backhoes and was impressed in the traction they provided off-road. Sure changed my mind of their usefulness.

Little closer to completion. Welded the OEM foot to the mega pad.

We made a set of stabilizer pads for a small hoe and also a squeegee for a rear blade at work and used cow mats. They are weren't very durable. Not sure if conveyor belt is better or not.

Cut-up tire treads worked a lot better for us.
