You do not have 2 hydraulic filters.

1 hydraulic filter (must remove the strainer first)
1 hydraulic strainer (remove it, clean it, put it back)
1 engine oil filter (diesel engine oil only)

The engine oil filter and hydraulic filters are not the same.

You can get the owners manual and workshop manual here.
See pages 62 & 63 of the owners manual.

The B2410 has a suction filter on the RH side of the tractor and an HST (hydrostatic transmission) filter on the LH side of the tractor. The filters are different.

They also have a screen filter on the suction tube. It's on the RH side if I remember correctly. It takes a 26mm or 1 1/16" socket to remove. It can just be washed out and reused.

Why is there a filter on each side of the rear transmission?

The two hydraulic spin on filters do different jobs.
Right side is the Hydraulic system filter, it's a suction side filter.
Left side is the HST system filter, it's a pressure side filter.
The HST filter is a finer filter and works in conjunction with the filter screen, which you need to also make sure you clean.

They are different. On your B2410 the two spin-ons are not interchangeable, so match each side to the correct part number when you buy them. Right side is the main hydraulic suction filter, left side is the HST charge/pressure filter with a finer element.

When you change fluid, drain the case, pull both filters, and also pull and clean the suction screen in the rear housing. A lot of people skip that screen and it plugs up with RTV or brake lining over time. Refill with the correct UDT/Super UDT equivalent and bleed air by cycling the loader and 3pt.

While this has been answered already I will give you a bit more information.

Your tractor has a hydraulic pump system to do the work with implements like the Front End Loader (FEL) and three point hitch (3PH). That is a separate system from the hydrostatic drive system that moves the tractor around. But both systems use the same reservoir of the same fluid. It is all stored in the transmission case.

The hydraulic system is similar to all hydraulic systems and has a gear pump that is driven from the engine. That fluid is sucked out of the transmission goes through a spin on filter into the pump and on to valves and eventually dumps back into the transmission case. That is spin on filter #1 that is on the suction side of the hydraulic system.

The HST is two parts, a pump and a drive system that are integrated into one case. The pump of this system is connected to the engine also through a larger separate drive shaft inside the tractor case. The pump has a suction side screen so larger particles are filtered out by that and then the fluid is forced through a second spin on filter. This filter is under pressure and has high flow so it is larger and more robust construction. The filter feeds fluid flow to the drive side of the hydrostatic drive system. This is spin on filter #2 on the pressure side of a different pump.

Hopefully that clearly says why there are two spin on filters and why they are different.
