Got a B222 blower that when lifted too high, shears the hydraulic pump drive spline! Could it be a defective relief valve in the controller?

Quite possible it was connected wrong! Father in law started getting dementia before he passed and I inherited the tractor. The AICO valve has 4 ports labeled "IN", "OUT", "B", and "V". Not sure which goes where as most controls have an A and B port. See attached pics.

The B and V ports should be the same as the A and B ports you referenced. These two hoses go to the cylinder that raises the snowblower.
The in port should go to where ever your tractor is supplying pressure feed from the pump. Number of options.
1--If it comes from a small rectangular block near the brake pedals and fuel filter, it should connect to the fitting closest to the front of the tractor. If the in port goes to the front of the rectangular block the hose from the out port on the valve should go to the rear fitting on the same block.
2--If the hydraulic feed comes from a valve fitting under the middle front of the seat, then that hose should go to the in port of the valve. The out port of the valve will connect to the transmission fill port near where the transmission shifter goes in.
I have a pdf version of the manual for that snowblower. It is very poor quality but would be happy to send it to you if needed.
