hello i have a b20 kubota .dont know what year it is cant find the serial number for the tractor . it has a kubota fel and a kubota subframe on it .no back hoe.the engine is seized is it worth rebuilding . are parts available for the motor?the former owner ran it without engine oil. it had a engine oil leak. the motor is a d950-a-t. is there another model motor to swap it? what does the a- t mean in d950-a-t. it is 4x4 hydrostatic drive.any help would be greatly appreciated thank you .

Did you check the here? located on left front engine frame rail. ALso check the right side frame rail. A lot of parts available for this engine or a reman engine is about $1800 if unsure if you can rebuild it.

Yes D950's are worth rebuilding.
You really can't easily swap it out for any other motor series.
There is no definitive answer to lettering behind the number, and I've never had it give me an issue as far as parts or a rebuild goes.
You will have to strip the motor down and send it to a machine shop to have the sleeves installed and bored, the rest can be done without any real special tools.
Here is one rebuild kit.

Unique to the B20 is the hydraulic pump is driven in front by the crankshaft. Not sure if the block is special. Had one for 23 years and they are tough and ever so handy on the farm. Failed injector hurt the engine and couldn’t find a replacement within budget. Sold it for 25% of I bought it for and upgraded to B26.
