First post here from a new owner of a B1750. I don't have much experience working with tractors, but I'm learning fast. I appreciate all of the great info I've read in the forum and Im hoping to get some input. I'll try to describe some problems I'm having and ask some questions.

The steering has almost a half turn of play in it. The steering column also leaks a great deal of hydrostat oil out of the top and may leak from other places too. It's hard to tell since there is so much oil all over everything.

My plan is to replace the power steering assembly and maybe the column including bushings and seals. I was surprised when I looked up parts prices and want to make sure this is the best course before spending money on parts.

I contacted West Kentucky Tractor Parts and they are going to call me back with parts availability and price if they have them. Is there another place to find used Kubota parts?

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Why used parts?
Get some new bearings and seals and you'll be far better off. ;)

Thank you so much for your reply North Idaho Wolfman! Do you think it's necessary to replace the power steering assembly since it has so much play or will replacing bearings and seals suffice? I was considering used parts when I saw the price of a power steering assembly.

First step would be to get it apart and find out what is broken or worn. ;)
