Hello all,

I have used this site a ton as most of the questions ive needed answered were already asked and answered by someone. Thank you for all of the insight you have provided to the tractoring community.

I recently purchased a kubota b7200hst a couple weeks ago and have been less than happy with the bucket. It appears to be original, welded several times, shallow, bent, and unusually narrow (42" from side to side). I have tried to contact the dealer regarding a new one, but these buckets have been discontinued for some time. I have a small case 644 garden tractor that has a bigger bucket than my new kubota and want something around the 48" mark. I have spoke to a fabricator about building a new bucket which can be done but before i willy nilly a custom made bucket, i wanted to ask the pro's. Now to the question:

Is there a bucket for another loader that is compatible with the 1630 loader? The dealer didnt know.

Do they make a quick attach retrofit system for this loader and any QA bucket would work?

I have scowered the internet and havent found a simple answer. I suppose i could purchase a QA system, and cut it up to make it work but again... im sure im not the only one who has crossed this path. I hope this hasnt been asked before and also hope it is in the proper section.

Assuming you have the LA402 loader you can get an ATI Tach All adapter on Amazon for $1,150 (they've gone up).

According to tractordata, that tractor came with a 54" bucket.

You would have to custom make a SSQA adapter for it, there was no factory adapter.

No other bucket is going to be a direct bolt on to that model loader.

Severely confused at your answer as he said it's a B1630 loader not a LA402????

I was afraid one would have to be custom made. I was hoping for the direct replacement option. It is a b1630 loader... at least thats what the sticker says. I dont really have any use for any other attachments for the loader other than the bucket, i live on 2 acres in a desert community. At most ill use clamp on pallet forks and that will be a rare occasion. The rear landpride gannon is a 48 and seems to be proportional to the tractor. A 54" bucket might work but i think fully loaded with damp dirt might take it to the max capacity.

I attached a picture of the little beast. Thank you all again for your input. Ill go the custom route. Im about to send the loader spool to be rebuilt... ive read what a bear these things can be.

Oops.. I went to tractordata.com to confirm the loader. I used B7800 instead of B7200. Thought maybe B1630 was the bucket.

Sometimes I put 2 and 2 together and come up with 19. Sorry about that. Carry on.

I wouldn't bother sending the loader valve to be rebuilt, they really are not rebuildable.
Few external seals and that's about all you can do to them.
If it's got issues you can get a replacement valve from surplus Center for fairly cheap and it will be a huge upgrade from the old loader valve.

If you just want one bucket, find any bucket the right size and have a welder cut the brackets off your bucket and weld them onto it.

Here is the OEM round back bucket on my B1630. It is 48" wide.

Thank you for all the replies, looks like that bucket you have pictured is the same as mine, but mine definitely has been modified and the leading edge is gone.

It never crossed my mind to get a bucket and weld the old mounting tabs onto it... haha. Thats probably the route ill go, seems easier to do that than reinventing the wheel from scratch.

I checked surplus center last night, they must have gotten valves in stock again. A new one is 25 dollars less than i was quoted to rebuild the one i have.... but the float feature would be nice to have! Thank you again.
