B1550 hst-d intermitant steering issues

I have a B1550 hst-d and I'm having steering issues intermittently. Doesn't matter if the bucket is empty or what the rpm is at or if the tractor is hot or cold. Hydrolic oil is full and clean. Also doesnt matter what impliment is on the back or if it's in 2wd or 4wd. Has no power steering more than it has power steering. Wondering if there is a filter screen in the steering box. Looks like there might possibly be but dont want to unscrew it until I know for sure. Attached is a picture of what I think may be the screen on the left side of the steering box and what resembles an adjustable pressure relief on the right side. Also tires are at 30psi and front end is greased. Thanks any help would be appreciated

There is no screen in there, that is a pressure adjustment screw.
Get the WSM before you blindly start messing with it.

It most likely will need to be rebuilt and have new seals put in it.
