I'm a new member to the forum, but I've been browsing for the last few weeks. I'm a volunteer at my local church and our John Deere 655 tractor of 20 years has given up the ghost. We are in the market for a new compact tractor and I've looked at the JD and Kubota models and I'm leaning heavily toward the Kubotas.
Our needs are a FEL for general moving of landscaping materials (mulch, dirt, etc.) and a front blade for snow removal in the winter. We have a Scag mower for taking care of the lawn, so no need for a mid-mount mower.
The local Kubota dealer is recommending the B3300SU along with a quick attach plow blade to attach to the loader arms. It seems like this would meet our needs.
I starting looking at cab options (we feel bad for the guy clearing the snow in the winter) and I'm looking for any recommendations on cabs for the B3300SU or if it would be better to just buy a different model with a factory cab. Initially I was thinking of getting a cab that could be removed for the spring/summer months (Sims, Curtis). I'm not sure how practical that would be. We would like to store the tractor in one of the car bays of the three car garage. Would this be possible with a factory cab (or any cab)?
Sorry for the rambling post. There are just many options with regards to models and cabs it gets a little confusing. Any advice would be appreciated.
