B 1750 Battery Group / Size

KUBOTA B 1750 BATTERY SIZE / GROUP[/U]

Does anybody know the battery size / group for a B1750 ?

Is it a 51R?

Currently it has a 51C and the battery post are on the wrong size and there is a piece of plastic so the positive post does not contact ground through the hold down. Rather dangerous!! for me.

Yes from what I see is a 51r.

Messicks shows your tractor had a 50B24L battery (jis spec) and that crosses to a 51r battery

I have a philosophy about starting batteries (in any application). I measure the size of the battery tray or where it will fit, length, width and height as well as cable location and then I go buy the largest battery that will fit in that space.

Group size means zilch to me, only what will fit in the physical space and if the cables will reach the terminals. You can never have too much battery, especially when it's minus 15 out and you heed your buggy to start and it takes no more amperage to charge a large battery from depletion to full than it takes to charge a small battery from depletion to full. It's all relative to the amount of juice you pulled out.

Yes.

For a very few dollars more you can buy a (IIRC) 651R, which is what I use in my B1750.

The (IIRC) 651R has higher capacity but is identical to a 51R in other respects.

Will verify number tomorrow if I remember.

Edit: Verified. Mine is a DEKA 651RMF. IIRC, it is rated about 50 CCA higher than the 51R. Not a common battery so your battery supplier will likely need to order it.
